Christmas Eve

Wow how the time flies, I can't believe it is our 2nd Christmas Eve with Miss Viola! It's such a magical time of year.
Vi is so much fun! She is into everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! She loves the Christmas tree, we have one of those things you step on to turn the lights on and off. If you would let her she would turn those things on and off, on and off all day long. She is very good about not touching the ornaments though. She was not very happy about standing in the snow the day we went to cut down the tree. It was pretty funny.

Last night we went to the South Hills to see the amazing Christmas lights, beautiful. I still cannot believe how many people were there. It's amazing. Roo was a little unsure because of all the people and kids yelling, but after a while she was pretty amazed by the lights. It was fun!

Tonight we went to Chris' mom's house for dinner.It was very yummy! Then we opened our presents from them. Vi made a haul as you can imagine. Good food, good company, Good times.

We started a new tradition this year, we get new PJ's and a movie on Christmas Eve. So we came home, opened our gifts and got into our PJ's and watched the Lion King, It was very fun.

Chris had never seen it, so we all really enjoyed it. Vi loved the "kitty" haha! So excited to see her tomorrow with her presents, it may be an all day event, opening presents. She opens something and then want to play! SO FUN!!!
I love Christmas and the fact that we get to spend so much time with our families. So gratful for the true meaning of Christmas as well. We are truley blessed.

Wow has the first month flown by! She is already so big! and she changes daily.

Exactly on week after she was born we celebrated my Mom's birthday.

We went to visit Viola's Great-Great Aunt Darlene when she was about 5 weeks old. She is a little trooper! ROAD TRIP!

On September 10, 2010 the world stood still. I went over to my parents place to get the baby out of the house, let the dogs run, and cut my Dad's hair. If you could turn back time, this would be one of those days.
My Phoebe Sue got hit by a harvest truck. The saddness that still overwhelms me cannot be explained. We buried her under the apricot tree at my parents house. Oh how I miss her...everyday. We love you Suebe, you will be in our hearts forever.

first month as a family

Words cannot express the love that you have for your children, from the moment they are laid in your arms. When we were still in the hospital, but finally getting ready for bed, my husband looked at me and said the most amazing thing..."I don't know how we could live without her." The most honest words ever spoken.
Being stuck in a hospital room is not the funnest thing in the world but we loved every second. We had a happy HEALTHY baby!
When we finally loaded up to come home we were so excited to take Viola home to meet the dogs. Chris had gone home earlier in the day to let the dogs smell him and the baby on him. They were so sweet when we came in. Through the whole pregnancy they were very aware that life was going to change, something was going on. We set the carseat on the couch so they could smell her and kiss her feet before we got her out face to face with these giant animals...But when we did they gently sniffed and kissed her. They loved her so much already! She was "their" baby! They continue to love her. Beck wouldn't leave her side. If she was asleep in the swing he was lying next to it, when someone would come over he was right next to them. Phoebe would come and sniff her and check on her all the time but never tried to lick her face, so motherly like. and gentle.
Chris got to be home a lot. It was such a wonderful time in our lives, to grow closer than ever to one another.
Oh and did I mention how much her grandparents love her! She is the first grandbaby on both sides and is already loved so much! Both of her grandmas where at the hospital when she was born...on site ready to smooch that baby! My Dad was in Kansas driving a milk truck, the longest week of his life. haha! He bought the the cutest pink leather biker jacket! Anywho, her grandparents love her!

13 days Before she came...Our 5th Anniversary

prego mamma...

Our little Angel came to us on August 12, 2011. What a blessing she has been. She took her time coming that is for sure, 7 days later than expected! We were supposed to get induced on the 12th at 6 AM I got up to pee, yet again, at 2 am and decided that I might be having contractions, things you only hear about until they are really here! haha! So I decided to start timing them, sure enough 5 minutes apart. After about an hour I decided I should try to lay back down because this is bound to be a long day. The contractions seemed to get more uncomfortable laying down. So up I was. I decided to let Chris sleep till 5. Then off the the hospital we went! YEAH!!! FINALLY! When we got there we found out my contractions were doing their job and I wouldn't have to be induced! Thank GOODNESS!!! The Dr came in and broke my water about 9:30 and things started moving! I thought I would go as long as possible without getting an epidural...I got to 5 cm. And 1:00....bring on the drugs please! After that I was beat! So I finally got some rest, before the hard stuff! haha! At about 4:15 our nurse decided I was ready to push. Not nearly as bad as I was anticipating. At 5:02 Dr Allen laid my beautiful daughter on my chest...The most amazing moment in life. She was absolutly PERFECT!!! Our little family just grew, what a blessing. My husband is the most wonderful daddy! And birthing coach! I could not have done it without him. Viola weighed 7 lbs 9 oz 20 inches long, light aburn hair and blue eyes, perfect. Chris got to give her her first bath...good job daddy! We had lots of wonderful visitors...thank you all for your love and support. And my Mom, thank you for your help with my contractions, and moral support. And my Mother in law was there the whole time too...thank you! Aunt Wendy, Mayda and Brooke were in waiting room as well. Even Uncle Jake and Aunt Nichole came to see her! Already she is so loved!

We had our 28 week check up today! Our little girl is PERFECT!!! She looks so petite! She is still a little girl! Thank goodness! Now we start going every 2 weeks! Can't believe how fast time has gone. Here are some pictures of our little miracle....

27 weeks

We finally got some color up in the nursery! and I LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to get the crib stuff done and the cutains hung! It's all starting to come together! Thanks to my wonderful hubby, my Mom and Tommi and Norm for their hard work! Love you guys!

We went to the Doctor on Thursday, everything is just how it should be! Measuring at 25 weeks. The Doc said the heart beat was 140, right in the middle of the road. I said, "they told us it was a girl." He laughed and said, "do you have a boy name picked out?" haha! Not funny!!! :o) She had better still be a lil Vi when we go back on the 17th! I have already started the crib stuff! And it's not blue!!! haha! We are just happy that our lil peanut is healthy! Now we get to sign up for all the fun birthing classes! watch out, here comes reality! YAY!

We went and had our 20 week ultrasound this morning and we are going to have a beautiful lil Girl! We are so excited!!!! Here are some pictures, they look kinda funny...but they say she is perfect!!!

Well next Monday we find out what our lil peanut is! Hopefully! haha!! I can't wait! I can start getting the nursery ready! We cleaned it out this weekend, it's empty yay! Can't wait to get some color in there...white walls are not my favorite.

Lil Pheobe Sue

On Monday Chris came home to find Phoebs limping and her toe purple. So of course I take her to the vet on Tues. Thinking they will just tell me it has to heal.... WRONG! Not only does she have a broken little toe, she tore her achilles tendon!!! Poor little bubble baby! They vet has no idea how this could happen to such a young dog. So anywho, she has to have surgery on monday, but put a cast on her for the meantime so her toe can start to heal. Say a little prayer for us. It's like a 3 hour surgery. And we all know I am a worry wart!!!

Well we got to have our first ultrasound yesterday... It is freakin AMAZING!!!! what medicine does now! Thought we'd share some pictures...Remember I took pictures of pictures so they aren't the best, but what a miracle!

Our first Doctor Appointment

Well today was our first appt. with the Dr.
Everything went wonderfully! We even got to hear the heartbeat today! That is such an amazing miracle! You should have seen my proud husbands face....He's going to be such a wonderful daddy! Next week we are going back for an ultrasound so we can see our little one! Cant wait!

So I know that I have been a slacker on this, but my computer decided to stop working! AWESOME!!!
Me and Chris got to go see Glen and Christy and the fam for a couple days in mid December. It was a lot of fun, like always... We got to go to Alcatraz which I have to say was very amazing, I can't believe the people that lived there by choice. On our way out of San Francisco we got to play in the traffic which was outta this world! We seriously moved 2 blocks in 45min. WOW!!!
The next day we just hung out did a little turkey frying and watched some UFC fights. It was great to spend time with them. Thanks Glen and Christy! We always enjoy our time with you and the kids!

Wow I am 26!!! Crazy!! My wonderful husband got me a new computer!!! That I LOVE!!! and a massage! Thanks hun, your the best! On my birthday me and Mom Aunt Wendy, Mayda and Brooke got together for lunch, It was so fun! Any chance I get to see Brooke is fun!!! :o) Then that night we went to my Parents house for dinner, I love me some country fried steak and mashed taters and gravy!!! YUMMY! Jake thinks I am crazy that that is what I ask for on my birthday...He always picks a T-Bone and shrimp...But I love my dinner!! Mom and Dad, me and Chris, Jake and Nichole, and My Grandparents. It was so nice to get together! The best memories!

I am so happy that my beautiful cousin and her new lil family are all safe and sound. And what a beautiful family they are! Mayda went to the hospital about noon she was dilated to a 5 she hung in there till she was to a 9 then she asked for an epidural. She is so strong! I am so proud of her. Well Brooke decided to be a little stubborn, she was posterior and wasn't budging!! So Mayda had to have a C-section... BUMMER! But they are both doing great!!! I haven't got to see them yet, well I saw Brooke through the glass when Ben came to show us! I can not wait to hold her!!! But I really want to see my cousin!!! Hang in there sister!!! I LOVE YOU!

What a wonderful fundraiser...It is truly amazing how our community comes together every year and raises so much money for the children who won't have a Christmas. Chris and the people he works with do so much to put this thing on, and clean it up. There are businesses who volunteer their time and come to serve chili and potatoes and coke donates drinks and hot cocoa! And so many other people that donate their time and supplies. It's so nice and it really gets you in the spirit of Christmas!!!! I love it! It's fun for me to go and spend time with Chris and then we get to watch the amazing fireworks!!! Thanks to everyone who donated gifts! Thanks to everyone who puts on this amazing event.

Thanksgiving Day

What a wonderful holiday!!! Family and Food!!!! I am so thankful to be part of such a beautiful family, on both sides. We are so Blessed. We got to sleep in then ate french toast and butter syrup! Yum! Then we watched the parade and some football. We went over the Chris' Grandmas house for a very delicious turkey dinner! Got to hang out with his folk and Grandma, watched some more football, and took a mini nap!!! Thanks Grandma and Mary! We love you!!! It's so nice that our families live close to us to that we can spend time with both of them.

Wonderful Weekend

What a great weekend! It started out with a picnic to "Our Spot"...One of our favorite spots to camp....We drove up with the dogs, fishing poles, and a BBQ. It was freakin cold!!! There we were fishing, and up pops 3 otters to check us out, no wonder we didn't catch any fish. It was so cool! They just bobbed there and watched us for a while. So we gave up on the fishing and went to find a sunny spot to BBQ... nothing like a nice hamburger in the beautiful mountains...I love that we are able to take off and be somewhere so majestic in less than 2 hours...

Then today we decided to hang up our Christmas lights before the snow hits! You never know when that is going to happen! And the best part, It was Tophers idea! I love when that happens! haha! He is such a good sport! I didn't even get on the roof and Mirco-manage the situation! He must be so proud! LOL!! It took everything in me not too! But for real, Chris is a trooper! Thanks Babe! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Well It's Halloween again! Yeah!!
Yesterday was Jake's birthday, we are celebrating tomorrow... Happy Birthday Jakey!!

Chris is doing a trick or treat street for work...so he will be working most of the day, bummer!! I still need to go buy Halloween candy for all the little rug-rats that will come knocking on my door! I love it! I am dressing the dogs up in their cute little Scarecrow and Dorothy costumes! You wouldn't believe how cool all the kids think it is! That's why i do it people, for the kids. Not me!! LOL!!

Today is Christopher's 33rd birthday! PARTY!!!
We slept in (well I slept in, haha) got up went over to Grandma Lenora's for breakfast. She made his favorite!! Bacon, hash-browns and biscuits and gravy. It was YUMMY! Thanks Grandma. Then we came home, I am making Chris' birthday cake and he is just relaxing watching TV!!!
This afternoon his family is coming over to eat cake and ice cream and open all of his awesome presents! I will let you know what the lucky boy gets!!!
